As part of the national project, the Ministry, in collaboration with the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and other relevant institutions, the Innovation Fund, the Science Fund, and the Center for the Promotion of Science, will organize activities during Science and Innovation Days to inspire the entire public to actively participate in creating and applying innovative solutions and scientific achievements, whether in the economy or everyday life.
This significant initiative will provide comprehensive access to information related to support programs, funding sources, tax incentives, resources, and the research and innovation ecosystem, which will be readily available within relevant institutions. Additionally, by demonstrating supported innovative solutions and scientific results, participants will have the opportunity to explore the path from idea to implementation.
"I want to emphasize the importance of this exciting project - as a country, we must support our talented people and prepare society for future research and entrepreneurial ventures. The Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Science, Technological Development, and Innovation strive to create a stimulating ecosystem for scientific development and innovation. We want our country to become a center of excellence in the field of science and innovation and contribute to the long-term progress of our scientific community. That's why we consider Science and Innovation Days organized throughout Serbia important", stated Minister Dr. Jelena Begovic on this occasion.
"The idea behind this project is to connect science and the economy, as well as to develop and strengthen a knowledge-based economy", emphasized Dr. Begovic, pointing out that these processes are prerequisites for Serbia's economy to become much more competitive, both regionally and globally.
"We will have various programs within this project. My warmest invitation is extended to young entrepreneurs to follow when we come to their cities, as many young people are unaware of their possibilities. We want to create a network accessible from anywhere in Serbia so that everyone can easily access the starting point for innovation development", she added. "I invite everyone to join, learn something new, and participate in this project, which has the potential to change the future of our country through science and innovation", concluded Minister Dr. Jelena Begovic.
We truly want to make a big offer of what Serbia has, and there is plenty of that when it comes to innovative technologies, medicine, agriculture, mechanical industry - all areas in which we can build our Serbian products. Collaboration is what we have envisioned here. Now, we are taking the next step, which is to connect large companies with the innovation community, and this is our main priority," stated Marko Cadez, President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, on this occasion.
