National AI Platform

With the aim of developing and applying artificial intelligence technology in the public administration research within the academic community and its institutions, and the entire industry of the Republic of Serbia, as well as supporting startup companies in developing their products, the Government of the Republic of Serbia has provided the National Artificial Intelligence Platform (AI Platform). The development of the National Platform is defined by the goals and measures of the Strategies for the Development of Artificial Intelligence in the Republic of Serbia for the periods 2020–2025 and 2025–2030. In 2023, the OECD awarded the National AI Platform as one of the nine most innovative public sector projects, among 1,048 projects from 94 countries worldwide.

The AI Platform, aka supercomputer, is located in the State Data Center in Kragujevac, which meets the highest reliability standard (Tier 4). The Office for Information Technologies and eGovernment manages both the State Data Center and the supercomputer.
