The delegation of the Republic of Serbia actively participated in the 55th World Economic Forum, held in Davos from January 20 to 24. This year’s forum, titled "Cooperation in the Age of Intelligence," brought together world leaders, government representatives, international organizations, business communities, and academic institutions to collectively address the most pressing global challenges and opportunities in an era of rapid technological advancements and digital transformation.

The forum gathered over 3,000 leaders from more than 130 countries, including more than 350 government officials and 60 presidents and prime ministers. Among the prominent statesmen in attendance was the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, who participated in this prestigious event for the twelfth time.
The Minister of Science, Innovation, and Technological Development, Dr. Jelena Begović, held several bilateral meetings and spoke on multiple panels, including the central panel on the first day of the forum titled "Biotechnology Under Stress".
In the strategic session "Frameworks for a Commercial Bioeconomy", discussions focused on advancing bioeconomic projects, while the central panel "Biotechnology Under Stress" highlighted the importance of investing in innovation and showcased Serbia’s potential in the biotechnology sector.
The Davos forum serves as a platform for connecting global leaders and shaping strategies that will define the future. During the event, Serbia’s delegation presented the country’s progress in innovation, digitalization, and sustainable development, as well as its vision for fostering further international collaboration.
