On this occasion, State Secretary of the Ministry, Dr. Trajanović, introduced the researchers to the Ministry's work, highlighting that Serbia currently has over 20,300 researchers. He expressed satisfaction with the ongoing collaboration with China and emphasized that it should continue to develop on an equal basis. Discussions during the meeting also covered Serbia’s innovation system and the construction of planned scientific and research infrastructure, with a special focus on the BIO4 Campus.
Representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management spoke about the importance of deepening cooperation with China in areas such as agricultural digitization, climate change, biodiversity conservation, and technology.
Scientific and technological cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and the People's Republic of China is based on the Agreement on Scientific and Technological Cooperation signed in 2009, as well as the Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2024. On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Trajanović invited the delegation from the research institutes to visit Belgrade during the specialized EXPO exhibition in 2027 and expressed his anticipation of further collaboration with Chinese companies.
