The summit will focus on policy strategies to unlock the transformative potential of artificial intelligence (AI), foster international collaboration, and build ecosystems that promote ethical, inclusive, and sustainable innovation. This event marks Serbia’s largest international gathering since the 60th anniversary of the Non-Aligned Movement in Belgrade and comes as Serbia assumes the GPAI presidency from India.
The GPAI, established in 2020, is a leading international organization dedicated to the advancement, application, and governance of AI. Serbia became a member of the partnership in 2022, further solidifying its role as a key player in the global AI landscape.
The opening ceremony featured addresses from Serbian Prime Minister Miloš Vučević, Speaker of the National Assembly Ana Brnabić, and OECD Secretary-General Mathias Cormann, underscoring the significance of the summit for global cooperation on AI.
As a platform for dialogue and innovation, the summit reflects Serbia’s commitment to advancing the responsible use of AI while fostering international partnerships that will shape the future of this transformative technology.
