In his keynote, "Serbia as the New Hub for Artificial Intelligence in Europe," Radovanović presented Serbia's innovation ecosystem, highlighting infrastructure developments, including science and technology parks, startup centers, and incubators at universities and research institutes.
“Every success begins with a vision. Our vision to become the new AI hub in Europe started five years ago. We've built an integrated innovation ecosystem across Serbia, featuring five science and technology parks, 23 regional startup innovation centers, 14 incubators at universities and institutes, and 15 makers' labs in high schools. This infrastructure now fully supports the development of innovations from the earliest stages to commercialization,” Radovanović stated.
During his panel, Radovanović shared data on Serbia’s growing startup sector, which currently numbers around 800 startups, with a projection to reach 1,000 by 2025. He highlighted Serbia's dedicated efforts in advancing artificial intelligence through education, legal frameworks, and infrastructure support. Radovanović invited attendees to the upcoming GPAI Summit in Belgrade, set for December 3-4, 2024, emphasizing the importance of collaborative AI initiatives.
