The Ministry of Education, Science, and Technological Development approved the proposal of the Faculty of Electronics in Niš, University of Nis for the master's degree program "Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning" based on the Public Competition for the Selection of Master Programs in the Field of Artificial Intelligence (Machine Learning).
By establishing a master's academic study program in the field of artificial intelligence at the Faculty of Electronics in Nis, the possibility of educating competitive staff at the national and global levels is achieved, as are the goals defined by the Republic of Serbia's Smart Specialization Strategy for 2020-2027. the significance of education in the field of ICT, particularly in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The Faculty of Electronics in Nis has qualified professors and associates to carry out this master's degree program in area AI. The new study program will build on our prior experiences in the implementation of education in this area, while also introducing new topics and taking an innovative approach to implementation.
The suggested study program lasts one year, and lessons are held in two semesters of 30 ECTS each. A student obtains a total of 60 ECTS credits after graduation. The obligatory areas of study covered by the study program are as follows: (1) Machine learning; (2) Deep learning; and (3) Elements of software engineering in the field of machine learning. In addition, optional courses included Natural Langugage Processing, Computer Vision, and Artificial Intelligence in Medicine.
