The proposal of the Department of Mathematics and Informatics, Novi Sad Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics was granted at the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technological Development competition for the selection of new master study programs in the field of artificial intelligence.
A key requirement of the competition was that the institution have professors and associates with necessary teaching competences, as well as the possibility to participate in the implementation of teaching, in addition to teachers and associates, economic specialists.
Given that the Faculty of Sciences perfectly meets these requirements, including internationally recognized scientific staff as well as long-term successful collaboration with the economy, our faculty will enroll 25 students in this current and promising master's program beginning with the next school year. Half will be able to work on a budget.
This master's degree will surely contribute to the advancement of artificial intelligence in our country, as well as the development of various skills for future occupations. Because the ultimate objective is for students to be educated for practical employment in the economy in the field of artificial intelligence, the curriculum is developed with an emphasis on the practical side of work through multiple obligatory projects.
